‘Tis the Season for Giving
The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce it’s 2015 charitable contributions totaling a record amount of $110,000. This amount nearly doubles the record for a single year which was $60,000 raised in 2014. The five benefiting local organizations are Pickens County Meals on Wheels, Pickens County’s Feed a Hungry Child, Pickens County Senior Center, Safe Harbor and Helping Hands of Clemson. The checks were distributed to these organizations on Tuesday, December 8th at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. The annual giving is made possible by proceeds from the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX corporation, The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s Annual Charity Golf Classic and Auctions.
“The recipient organizations are each thoroughly deserving and have an excellent track record of community assistance and improvement,” said Cathy Washburn, the first-year Executive Director of The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s Community and Charitable Foundation. “This funding will have direct and tangible impact in Pickens County.”
Since the Foundation first began our charitable giving in 2006, The Reserve at Lake Keowee has given over $400,000 to support the Pickens County community. In addition to financial support, our Reserve community gives back through volunteering hundreds of hours each year with various organizations throughout the Upstate.
