A Grand Slam for The Reserve’s Mixed Doubles Tennis Team

The Reserve’s Mixed Doubles Tennis Team recently won the Southern Region Championships held in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Competing against 7 states throughout the southeast region, many of the matches were nail-biters, but The Reserve Team came out on top, winning each match.

Considering the caliber of clubs and competitions involved throughout the five matches at the Southern Region Championships, The Reserve’s team is honored to have accomplished such a remarkable goal.

After winning the South Carolina State and Southern Region Championships, the team now qualifies for the National Championships in Washington State in April of 2020.

The Reserve Tennis Team Takes on Nationals

The Reserve’s community support, Lissner tennis pros, and top-shelf amenities within The Reserve at Lake Keowee all contributed and continue to add to the team’s growing success. The team is made up of 16 members, 6 of which traveled to Arkansas for the Championship.

The Members who competed in the Championship include Lisa Maly, Karen Kurkcu, Monica Riley, Cengiz Kurkcu, Craig Hartman and Greg Lewis.

Reserve Members who are interested in finding out more about the community’s tennis offerings can contact Mike Lissner, Director of Tennis, or Chrissie Lissner, Assistant Director of Tennis, for information about play, social activities, lessons, clinics, and competitive play. We look forward to cheering on our team in April!

We are so proud of the tennis team representing The Reserve. We hope our team does well in Washington and we will be cheering them on as they head to nationals.

Tennis is one of the many activities we offer at The Reserve and we always provide top-tier quality and support for our members, regardless of the amenities. Even if you’re not a National tennis-player, be sure to go check out the courts and see if you spot any of our team players.
